Welcome to my little part of this ever-growing internet world! My name is Yvette and I appreciate your visit. In 2016, I made the connection and decided to ditch all animal products from my plate, apparel, and beauty/household products. Sustaining this new lifestyle has been so easy. Words like “vegan” and “plant based diet” appeal to so many businesses nowadays, that many of them are offering or testing out plant based products for their consumers. This means that transitioning to vegan has never been easier. It’s no wonder why the Biggest Milk Producer in America has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and plant-based meat products have been adopted by fast food chains; like Carl’s Jr with their Beyond Meat patties, and Burger King with their Impossible Burger patties. If anyone has ever considered going vegan, now is the time. It’s not as hard as you think and I am here to help!
Truth is, my life has changed so much since going vegan and I have been documenting all of it in hopes that I can help anyone who is trying, struggling with, or considering a vegan lifestyle. I am not a dietician or health coach but I have found a way to keep all animal products and by-products out of my life and thrive on it since 2016! With that being said, I highly encourage you to do your own research. Talk with your physician, and it your physician does not agree with a plant based diet; then find a new physician. Jk but seriously, considered the so called “facts and benefits” we were taught and raised on. Question them all! What you will learn is that there are no benefits to consuming animal flesh or drinking bovine breast milk. Nothing is humane about slaughtering animals. Meat is murder and a vegetarian diet is not cruelty free. There are so many things in this world that are bad for us and many things we can not control. Deciding on what you eat, drink, and wear can truly make the difference in whether you are funding animal cruelty or helping to create a more peaceful place on Earth for ALL beings.
The choice is yours but consider this:
- Animal agriculture is responsible for up to 91% of Amazon destruction.
- We are currently growing enough food to feed 10 billion people and still can not end world hunger.
- 82% of starving children live in countries where food is fed to animals, and the animals are eaten by western countries.
- 1.5 acres can produce 37,000 pounds of plant-based food.
- 1.5 acres can produce 375 pounds of beef.
- 2,500 gallons of water are needed to produce 1 pound of beef.
